How can I benefit from home care?

Our in-home care service is individually tailored to each client. Sorted Healthcare is here to help you continue to live comfortably in your own home, surrounded by your possessions and memories.

Our person-centred domiciliary care services can include two to four visits per day, personal care, wake in night, 24-hour care, or live-in care. Our home care services can be used for short-term help after an illness, on discharge from hospital, while your regular carer is on leave, or as the start of a period of care that can lead to long-term home care and support.

What does high blood pressure entail?

Nearly a third of people in the UK suffer from high blood pressure. It is often a chronic condition that increasingly affects older people, but young adults are also suffering from it these days. It is commonly referred to as the “silent killer” because many people do not realise they have high blood pressure until their health has already deteriorated significantly.

Blood pressure is the force that blood exerts on the walls of the arteries (large blood vessels) as the heart pumps it around the body. This increases the strain on the heart and can damage the arteries if the blood pressure is too high. Untreated high blood pressure can increase the risk of heart and kidney disease, strokes and brain damage. Therefore, early detection is crucial.
